The Journal of Accounting, Auditing & Finance (JAAF) Conference is a distinguished global platform where scholars and practitioners engage in insightful discussions across various dimensions of accounting, auditing, and finance. Beyond enriching academic discourse, the conference provides valuable opportunities for networking, professional development, and cultural immersion for researchers worldwide.

Since its launch in 2015, the JAAF Conference has been successfully hosted in various countries through collaborations with local universities. The conference faced a temporary cancellation from 2020–2022 due to COVID-19 but successfully resumed in Helsinki in 2023. Past hosts include institutions such as Southwestern University of Finance and Economics, University of Calgary, University of Otago, Korea University Business School, Universidad de Chile, University of Vaasa, Hanken School of Economics, University of Napoli Federico II, Zayed University, Dubai, Nagoya, Japan.

Following these successful international collaborations, the conference continues to emphasize quality through defined structures and incentives. To encourage outstanding research, the conference offers incentives, including travel support for plenary presenters. Furthermore, additional awards—such as Best Paper and PhD Student Paper Awards—were introduced following the Helsinki event to recognize high-quality research with strong publication potential. Typically, the conference features 5–6 plenary-session papers and over 60 concurrent-session papers.

In 2027, the JAAF conference will be held in Sofia, Bulgaria, from July 9 to 12, 2027. It is organised by Faculty of economics and business administration part of Sofia University St. Kliment Ohridski.
